Cash, Common Sense and Community Banks

That's my theme for 2015. As i wrote in my RealMoney.com article Friday

Common sense indicates that the lack of bargain issues makes this a good time to be cautious.

Except when considering the final portion of our 2015 slogan. I have done everything but hire skywriters and chanting Gregorian monks to sing the praises of the "trade of the decade" in community banks. It is one of the few sectors of the market that is still safe and cheap. My current list has over 30 small bank stocks that trade below 85% of book value, have adequate equity capital and low nonperforming assets. Many of them have strong activist investors involved that are pushing for additional fundamental improvements, if not the outright sale of the bank at a premium to the current price. These little banks are raising dividends and buying back stock as management teams are usually large shareholders themselves and committed to increasing shareholder value.

During last Thursday webinar, A value investor looks at 2015 I made a special offer that can help you exploit my 2015 theme for profit and hopefully help you make market volatility work for you and not against you this year. I combined my two newsletters, Banking on Profits and Deep Value into one package at a greater than 35% savings for the year.
