So I did hear a few new things and here are my thoughts:
- This was a BULLISH statement because of them saying that even after all indicators tell us on paper that we should theoretically be hiking rates, we may still keep them low if we deem warranted
- They are not merely looking at employment percentage but also at the make up of the unemployment (what kind of jobs etc).
- They are also looking at full employment as a trigger.
- If markets cannot rally on the back of this statement then they are weaker than I thought. They did bounce on it but failed to match the open peaks yet but they are working on it.
